Full Allotment
Full Allotment means an investor receives the entire number of shares they applied for in an IPO.
Full Allotment happens when the shares applied for by an investor are fully matched with the shares allotted, usually occurring when an IPO category is undersubscribed or exactly subscribed.
Key points:
More likely in categories with low demand
Opposite of partial allotment or no allotment
Depends on the subscription level of the investor's category
Example:
If you apply for 100 shares and the retail category is undersubscribed, you may receive full allotment of all 100 shares.
